CAMP TAJI, Iraq - The 1st Sustainment Brigade Headquarters Company participated in a challenging and demanding physical fitness exercise on April 4. Sgt. 1st Class Chesley Baird, a native of Idabel, Okla. took the lead in the training.
"The purpose of the training was to coach, teach, and mentor the Soldiers on different techniques of doing PT so they don’t get complacent and bored," said Chesley.
This type of PT, with several Soldiers donning their individual body armor, was designed to motivate and challenge the Soldiers. The training pushed the Soldiers to excel and reach goals they never thought they could.
The PT program for the morning was to inspire each Soldier to gain the knowledge and physical fitness level they need in order to achieve their individual goals.
"As these Soldiers accomplish these challenges it will build their self confidence and eventually add up, which will aid them in accomplishing their main goals," said Chesley.
