(Left to right) Lt. Col. Todd Heussner, commander of the 168th Brigade Support Battalion recognizes Pfc. Dustin Watkins, an automated logistics specialist with Company B, 168th BSB, as one of this week "Heroes." "I couldn't be prouder of these Soldier's," said Heussner.
CAMP LIBERTY, Iraq - Each week the first sergeants of every company in the 168th "Make it Happen" Brigade Support Battalion gather to honor one of their heroes; this week was no exception.

"All the way to the end of our deployment we are going to see achievement," said Command Sgt. Major Miguel Rivera, the command sergeant major for the 168th BSB.  "We need to honor these Soldiers for their hard work."

Eight Soldier's in all were honored for their extraordinary achievements; everything from Pfc. Ruben Davis, a truck driver with 57th Transportation Company stepping up to manage nine Soldiers in his squad leaders absence to Spc. Jeffrey Maxson, a light wheeled mechanic with Company F, 151st Infantry who pulled his sleeves up, worked long hours, and helped reduce the number of downed vehicles from 20 a week to less than five.  In the last few days the number was as low as one.

"Each week we bring up exceptional Soldiers.  The following week comes by and we have even more exceptional Soldiers," said Lt. Col. Todd Heussner, the commander of the 168th BSB.

He went on to highlight each Soldiers accomplishments again, thanked them for stepping up and making things happen, and gave them all a commander's coin for their efforts.

"I couldn't be prouder of these Soldier's," said Heussner.
