| Capt. Latasha R. Thomas, a Petersburg, Va., native, and Platoon Leader for First Platoon, 57th Transportation Company, 168th Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Sustainment Brigade, receives her promotion by Lt. Col. John P. Sullivan, currently 10th Mountain Division G4 and her first Battalion Commander. This is Thomas' first deployment and she graciously thanked all in attendance saying, "I know that I could not have made it here without the mentorship of my fellow officers, the training of NCOs, and the hard work of all the Soldiers I have had the privilege of working with".
