An aerial view of Longhorn Airstrip at North Fort Hood, Texas, March 25, shows continuing construction including a parking lot, fuel pads, a wash rack for aircraft and tactical tents. The construction of the airstrip is ongoing and improves the efficiency of aviation mobilizations, which started using Longhorn in June 2010. All aviation mobilization training for Army Reserve and Army National Guard units occurs at North Fort Hood, and Longhorn Airstrip is where aircraft are housed.
