FORT DRUM, New York - The national Christmas tree growers association's tradition of providing trees to Soldiers and families continues Nov. 30 as more than 800 trees are delivered to Fort Drum.

The Trees for Troops program, sponsored by the Christmas SPIRIT Foundation and FedEx Corporation, is in its third year of delivering live trees to Soldiers and Families both at home and deployed.

Maj. Gen. Michael Oates, 10th Mountain Division commander and members of Fort Drum's Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers program will accept the delivery and will participate in the distribution of trees to Army Families.

FedEx vehicles delivering the trees here are two of six specially marked to highlight FedEx's support to the Trees for Troops program.

For more information on Trees for Troops, contact the Christmas SPIRIT Foundation at 636-449-5060 or info@christmasspiritfoundation.org.
