Suspected forger arrested in Abu T-Shir

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Iraqi Security Forces partnered with Multi-National Division - Baghdad Soldiers detained a suspected criminal Feb. 14 while conducting operations in the Rashid district of southern Baghdad.

At approximately 3:30 a.m., police officers from the 1st Battalion, 3rd Abu Risha National Police Brigade, 7th Brigade, 2nd National Police Division, conducting combined clearing operations with Soldiers of 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, arrested one man using a Baghdad Operations Center warrant in the Abu T-Shir community.  The patrol delivered the suspect wanted for financing terrorism and producing fake passports to a nearby Iraqi Police station for processing.
   
"The ISF and the 1st Brigade constantly work to take criminals off of the streets," said Maj. Dave Olson, 1st BCT spokesman, 4th Inf. Div., MND-B. "Every day we are stopping criminal activities and making Rashid a safer place for the citizens to live."
