
Mosul SWAT team arrests suspected terrorist

TIKRIT, Iraq - Mosul Special Weapons and Tactics team, along with Coalition forces advisors, arrested a suspected terrorist in Ninewa province June 19.
The SWAT team, operating under the authority of a locally-issued warrant, detained the suspected financier and weapons smuggler. According to military reports, his arrest is expected to disrupt terrorist activities in the Ninewa province.
"The detention of this suspected terrorist as a result of this Iraqi-lead mission is further evidence of the SWAT team's ability to thwart criminal activity in the region," said Maj. April Olsen, Combined Joint Special Operations Task Force - Arabian Peninsula spokesperson.
