NCIS Special Agent Henry Pataky, Featured Guest Expert

 SAN JOSE, California - On Thursday, September 25, beginning at 10 A.M. (PST), NCIS special agent Henry Pataky, will share his thoughts on pursuing a career with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) in this month’s Henley-Putnam University teleconference.
The teleconference will include topics such as:
1. An explanation of the NCIS mission. NCIS is a civilian federal law enforcement agency tasked with enforcing the criminal and counterintelligence regulations for the Department of the Navy (DoN), which includes the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Marine Corps. Its’ primary purpose is to protect the assets, military and civilian personnel and technologies, and the families of those within the DoN.
2. A discussion of the types of crimes and disciplines covered by NCIS agents.
3. A comparison of actual NCIS agents to their counterparts on the hit CBS TV show "NCIS."
4. A conversation about Special Agent Pataky’s career along with his "War Stories" from the field.
5. A discussion about how one can become an NCIS special agent.

About the Presenter
Henry Pataky is currently a Special Agent with the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS). Henry is a multi-talented Law Enforcement professional with over 36 years of experience in local, state and federal law enforcement investigations and supervision; with over 27 of those years in the Criminal, Counterintelligence and Cyber areas of federal law enforcement. Prior to his career with NCIS, Henry worked as a police officer with the Indiana University Police Academy/Department, and also worked with the Ohio Attorney General’s Office in their Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI). At NCIS, Henry has worked in numerous disciplines, including major crime scene investigations and live hostage negotiations. He has authored crisis management plans, conducted major terrorism investigations, and worked on fraud, counterintelligence, and espionage investigations. Henry has been involved in protective service details for the President of the United States, Secretary of the Navy, Chief of Naval Operations, and several prominent foreign dignitaries. Currently, Henry’s forte is cyber related investigations, reactive and proactive operations, and the forensic analysis of computer media and cell phones. He is also considered an agency subject matter expert for cyber and counterintelligence matters.
