God Has Not Forgotten You
 |
| Debra D. Johnson |
I wanted to write and to encourage everyone that has been affected by the war that we are still fighting. It is my continued prayer that this war will soon be over and our men and women can come home to be with their families.
As I prayed and asked God what He would have me to write, His answer was to remind them that He has not forgotten them. God is very much aware of what we go through. He has seen our trials and tribulations and this war has definitely been a trial and tribulation for many. God has allowed me the opportunity to visit soldiers in the hospitals when they have returned. I must say that the soldiers truly display a sense of pride and courage for the United States of America. They have seen lives taken and have had to take lives. I can’t imagine what goes through their minds, but yet they are still hopeful and some willing to do it all over again.
This war has taken a toll on everyone, especially an emotional one. I want to remind the soldiers and their families, and those that have suffered a loss, that God has not forgotten you. We don’t always know why things happen, but we do know that whatever happens, we have a Savior who can comfort us all at anytime. All we have to do is call on Him in our time of need and He will answer! God has felt our pain and heard our disgust toward the war. He too can be grieved by man’s decision. I ask that in this hour that we trust God whole heartedly and remember that He has not forgotten any of us. When we feel weak, He is our Strength. When we suffer a loss, He is our Comforter! God is the Great I am! Let us begin to put our expectation on God and trust and know that our prayers to end this war and return our men and women home, will not return void. Let’s make a promise that when we rise in the morning that we will thank God for His Grace, for Him making this nation strong through our tribulations. And most of all, thank Him for Him being Who He is, the Great Almighty!
Psalm 27:3: Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then will I be confident.
God has Not Forgotten You
God sits high and looks down low
Seeking you out waiting for you to go
Go by the still waters so you can hear
Hear His calm voice that drives out fear
God has not forgotten you
So hold your head up high Soldier
Square back those shoulders
And let God guide and hold you
For He is in the midst of everything you go through
God has not forgotten you!
Go to Him for He will see you through
Through your trials, tribulations and fear
He will see you through your loss and the many tears
He’s there with you with an opened hand
Waiting to help you carry out His plan.
God has not forgotten you Soldier
It’s not over until God says it’s over!
