Haqqani network targeted in Khowst, sub-commander detained

Blackanthem Military News BAGRAM AIR FIELD, Afghanistan - Coalition forces detained four suspected militants during an operation targeting the Haqqani terrorist network in Khowst province, yesterday.
The operation targeted a known foreign fighter facilitator in Sabari District, believed to coordinate and direct militant activities against locals, the Government of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and Coalition forces in the area. He is also believed to be in direct contact with other Haqqani sub-commanders, coordinating terrorist activities intended to destabilize the region. The targeted Haqqani sub-commander was detained during the operation.
Coalition forces searched the compound, finding weapons and other related items, which were destroyed to prevent future use.
