FALLS CHURCH, Va. - TRICARE Management Activity assures its beneficiaries and their families affected by the wildfires in southern California that their health care benefits will be maintained and service and support will continue during the state of emergency.

Beneficiaries enrolled in TRICARE Standard, a fee-for-service option, may seek care from any TRICARE-authorized provider.  Displaced beneficiaries enrolled in TRICARE Prime should call 1-888-TRIWEST for more information or to find an authorized provider still operating in their area.  Beneficiaries that relocate out of the TriWest region should contact TriWest immediately to ensure coverage at their new location.

If beneficiaries evacuated without their medication, they can get a refill from their retail pharmacy without any restrictions.  TRICARE copays still apply.  According to ESI, FedEx deliveries into the area have been suspended, affecting shipments of refrigerated medications.  Beneficiaries who require refrigerated medications may get them from the retail pharmacy.  For more information regarding the retail pharmacy program call 1-866-363-8779.  Contact Express Scripts, the TRICARE mail order pharmacy contractor at 1-866-363-8667 with your updated mailing address to continue receiving your medications.

The TRICARE Web site, www.tricare.mil/mybenefit/home/LifeEvents/PreparingForADisaster, provides frequent updates for displaced or affected beneficiaries.

TriWest has activated the TriWest Disaster Information Center page and linked it to the home page at www.triwest.com.  The site includes general information, preparedness instructions and resources for additional assistance.

About TRICARE Management Activity
