Blackanthem Military News, FORT DRUM, New York – Two Soldiers from the 10th Mountain Division's 2nd Brigade Combat Team were killed in Baghdad Feb. 2 when their up-armored vehicle was attacked by an improvised explosive device.
Capt. Kevin C. Landeck and Staff Sgt. Terrence D. Dunn were killed in the attack and a third Soldier was also wounded.
Both Soldiers deployed with the 2nd BCT in August 2006.

Landeck, 26, was an infantry officer assigned to Company B, 2nd Battalion, 15th Field Artillery Regiment.
A native of Wheaton, Ill., Landeck was commissioned in May 2004 after graduating from Purdue University with a degree in criminal justice.
Landeck completed the Infantry Officer Basic Course in September 2005 and was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment that month. In August 2006, he was reassigned to 2-15 Field Artillery to serve as an advisor to the Iraqi Army.
His military training includes the Combat Life Saver Course, Technical Transportation of Hazardous Materials Course and the Basic Airborne Course.
Landeck's awards and decorations include the Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Combat Infantryman Badge, Expert Infantryman Badge and the Parachutist Badge.
He is survived by his wife, Bethany Landeck.

Staff Sgt. Terrence D. Dunn, 38, was a quartermaster and chemical equipment repair noncommissioned officer assigned to Company B, 210th Brigade Support Battalion.
Originally from Houston, Dunn enlisted in the Army in December 1990 and completed training at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Md., before his first assignment in July 1991 with 1st Squadron, 11th Cavalry Regiment at Fort Irwin, Calif.
In July 1993, he was reassigned to 26th Quartermaster Company at Hutier Kasserne, Germany where he served until being reassigned to 3rd Brigade, 4th Infantry Division based at Fort Carson, Colo.
Dunn was assigned to Camp Kyle, South Korea in March 2002 where he was assigned to 61st Maintenance Company, 227th Maintenance Battalion. In July 2003, Dunn was transferred to 24th Quartermaster Company at Fort Lewis, Wash. He arrived at Fort Drum in May 2006 and was assigned to the 2nd BCT.
His military education includes the Maintenance Supervisor Course and the Warrior Leader Course.
His awards and decorations include the Purple Heart, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, NATO Medal and the Driver-Mechanic Badge.
He is survived by his wife Angela, his brothers Dennis and Kevin, his Sisters, Sharon Smith and Rosemary Marseles, and several nieces and nephews.
