CAMP SHELBY, Miss. -

Sgt. Lewis Gaines, a boatman's mate with the Navy Group 3, performs take down maneuvers while impaired by pepper spray, during Non-Lethal Weapons Training at Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center, Miss. Petty Officer 1st Class Andrew Caconic, a machinery repairman with the Navy Group 3, receives pepper spray from Staff Sgt. Billy Williams, an Observer Controller/Trainer with the 2nd Battalion, 346th Forward Support Battalion, during Non-Lethal Weapons Training at Camp Shelby Joint Forces Training Center. The purpose of the training is to understand the effects the pepper spray can have on an individual, teaching them to fight through the effects of the spray if ever exposed to the non-lethal agent.
