CAMP LIBERTY, Iraq -

Soldiers from the 62nd Quarter Master Company liquid platoon, 553rd Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 1st Sustainment Brigade, unpackaged a new fuel bag to be used at the Victory Base Complex bulk fuel farm. The farm consists of forty-eight 50k and seventeen 210k bags and happens to be the second largest fuel farm in Iraq. The liquid platoon has replaced forty-two total bags in order to enhance the purification and distribution of the fuel products throughout theatre. The goal of the liquid platoon is to create the best fuel farm in Iraq. "Many of the old bags are beginning to break down from the heat and constant use," said 1st Lt. Louis Toney, the officer in charge of the bulk fuel farm. "The replacement process ensures clean fuel and keeps the bulk fuel farm environmentally sound," Toney concluded, a New Brunswick, N.J., native.
