MND-B Soldiers detain three suspected criminals

BAGHDAD, Iraq - Multi-National Division - Baghdad Soldiers detained three suspected criminalsin the Rashid district of southern Baghdad June 30.
Soldiers from the,1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infanty Division,detained a known criminal while acting on a tip from a concerned Iraqi citizen at approximately 12:30 a.m. in the Doura Market area. The patrol moved the suspect to a nearby Coalition Forces base for processing.
At approximately 1:45 a.m., acting on tip from another concerned Iraqi citizen, Soldiers with the 1st BCT, 4th Inf. Div., detained two individuals believed to be transporting weapons in the Saha neighborhood of the Zubaida area. The patrol returned to its combat outpost with the suspects to conduct questioning and processing.
"Thanks to the tips from the Iraqi citizens, the Soldiers are finding these criminals," said Maj. Dave Olson, 1st BCT Spokesman, 4th Inf. Div "We would not be as successful in pursuing the enemy without their help. As the responsibility for security transitions to the Iraqi Security Forces in the lead, the relationship between the citizens and their ISF will become even more important in providing a safe and secure environment for all Iraqis."
