MND-B Soldiers detain suspected AQI in Rashid district

FORWARD OPERATING BASE FALCON, Iraq - Multi-National Division - Baghdad Soldiers detained a suspected al-Qaeda in Iraq terrorist in the Rashid district of southern Baghdad Aug. 30.

At approximately 10:30 p.m. in the Jihad community, Soldiers from Company C, 1st Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division, detained the suspect believed to be connected to a vehicle-borne improvised explosive device.
   
"These Soldiers work around the clock capturing known criminals and keeping violence off the streets of the Rashid district," said Maj. Dave Olson, spokesman,1st BCT, 4th Inf. Div. "They continue to provide a safe and secure environment for the 1.5 million residents of southern Baghdad."
