Blackanthem Military News FORT DRUM, New York - A ceremony for the ten "Golden Dragons" of 2nd Battalion, 14th Infantry Regiment killed during the 2nd Brigade Combat Team's recent deployment to Iraq will be honored at a unit memorial ceremony Nov. 30.
In attendance will be family members of the fallen Soldiers as well as injured "Golden Dragons" receiving treatment at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C.
Members of 2nd BCT deployed to south Baghdad in August 2006 and conducted combat operations to provide security for the Iraqi citizens in the region.
Soldiers killed in the battalion's prior deployments were added to a monument fist unveiled in October 2005.
