Blackanthem Military News, BAGRAM AIRFIELD, Afghanistan - Afghan and Coalition forces detained five suspected Al-Qaeda associates today during an early morning operation in the Chaparhar District of Nangarhar Province.
Credible intelligence, pointing to their association with Al-Qaeda, led Afghan and Coalition forces to the compound.
The Afghan and Coalition forces requested a peaceful surrender, entered the compound and secured the area without incident. No shots were fired and there were no serious injuries reported.
No civilians, Afghans or Coalition forces were injured during the operation.
